Comment / Aircraft of the Dubai Air Wing are regular visitors to Stansted, often arriving and parking up on the northside for a couple of days or so. Boeing 747-400 A6-HRM arrived yesterday evening, about an hour before sunset, an aircraft which joined the wing from United Air Lines in 2003.

Comment / Yak-42 RA-43285 sits on the northside at Stansted, having arrived the previous day. With the date being 6th June, one wonders what it would have been like standing in this very spot watching B-26 Marauders of the USAAF being prepared for D-Day missions over Normandy - exactly 62 years ago.
